Up to the present days there exist lots of old Russian superstitious weather believes (otherwise called weatherlore). In former times Russian people trusted them implicitly and believed that they surely come true.
• JUNE
If clover`s leaves are brought together (become closer), it forecasts nasty weather. If dandelion`s flowers become closed, it forecasts rain. If it`s raining in the morning, the rain will soon cease. Loache`s flowers become closed before the rain; and if they become open in cloudy weather, it forecasts sunny days.
• JUNE, 1 - John`s Day
If it is raining on that and the following day, the summer is likely to be warm. If it is cold on that day, the following 40 days are going to be cold too.
• JUNE, 3 - Olena`s Day
If the weather is nasty on Olena`s day, it forecasts stormy weather in autumn.
• JUNE, 13 - Jeremey`s Day
It`s the end of seeding time.
• JUNE, 16 - Luke`s Day
If the wind blows south on that day, it forecasts bumper summer crops, and if the wind is western north, summer is likely to be damp.
• JUNE, 21 - Fedor`s Day
If you hear thundering while there`s a storm, there`ll be rough weather for a long time.
